In partnership with Okavanga Media, we created a dynamic pilot trailer for Exploring Cobourg, a lifestyle/travel docu-series concept built to capture the charm and character of Cobourg, Ontario. This trailer served as the key pitch asset for a Bell TV submission, and it worked. The result? Both Okavanga and Nerds Creative secured the green light to move forward with the full series.
❌ The Problem
Temo Primrose, the creator and host of Exploring Cobourg, had a bold vision: bring attention to the small-town beauty and community spirit of Cobourg in a way that felt fresh, elevated, and ready for broadcast. But vision alone doesn’t get a show picked up, she needed a professional-grade trailer that could sell the concept fast and make Bell TV see its potential.

We worked closely with Temo to craft a pilot that was both tight and cinematic, showcasing waterfront views, vibrant community life, and Temo’s natural hosting charisma. From scenic beach shots and marina energy to local interviews and sunset views, every scene was designed to feel like a polished episode preview, not just a sizzle reel. The tone? Lighthearted, adventurous, and market-ready.

Bell TV approved the concept, and we went on to produce a 6-part series now airing on TV1. Exploring Cobourg dives into the best the town has to offer, from picturesque beaches and local landmarks to conversations with community leaders, including the Mayor of Cobourg. What started as a pitch became a full broadcast win — and a perfect example of how Nerds Creative helps visionary concepts take flight.
